How it works

Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is an endogenous nonapeptide first identified in the cerebral venous blood of rabbits during electrically induced slow-wave sleep. Its precise receptor target remains unresolved, but published research documents effects on delta-wave sleep patterns, modulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, and interactions with several neurotransmitter and neuroendocrine systems. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and is studied as a regulatory rather than a sedative peptide.

FAQs+
Is DSIP's receptor known?+

Not definitively. DSIP is well characterized as an endogenous peptide, but its precise binding target remains an open question in the literature. It is studied as a neuromodulator rather than through a single receptor.

Why is DSIP in Neurological Research?+

It is a central neuropeptide studied for sleep and neuroendocrine regulation, which places it in Neurological Research's cognition-and-repair scope.

What's a typical reconstitution concentration?+

Investigator-dependent. A common preparation is 2 mL bacteriostatic water per 5mg vial, yielding 2.5 mg/mL.

How is DSIP quality verified?+

LC-MS identity and HPLC purity per lot, mass spec against the theoretical mass, and a third-party ISO-17025 repeat assay.

Is DSIP stable in solution?+

Yes, with standard cold storage. 30 days at 2–8°C is the operating spec.

Is DSIP subscription-eligible?+

Yes. 15% off on a 60-day cycle once it returns to stock.
