Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) is a 28-residue member of the secretin/glucagon peptide superfamily. It signals through the class-B G-protein-coupled receptors VPAC1 and VPAC2, coupling primarily to adenylate cyclase and cAMP. In published research it is characterized for vasodilatory effects, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activity, roles in the suprachiasmatic-nucleus circadian pacemaker via VPAC2, and neuroprotective signaling. Its broad receptor expression makes it a widely studied endogenous regulatory peptide.

The class-B GPCRs VPAC1 and VPAC2, signaling largely through cAMP. Receptor distribution is broad, which is why VIP is studied across vascular, immune, and central-nervous-system contexts.
Longevity Research covers broad-spectrum compounds studied for systemic effects. VIP signals across vascular, immune and circadian pathways rather than sitting within a single system, which places it here.
As a larger, methionine-containing peptide, VIP is more labile in solution. A 14-day window at 2–8°C with light protection minimizes potency loss.
Investigator-dependent. A common preparation is 2 mL bacteriostatic water per 10mg vial, yielding 5 mg/mL.

“COA matched what we ran in-house. Powder reconstituted clean, no haze. Did exactly what we needed it to.”
“Switched after two bad lots from a previous source. Three orders in, zero issues.”
“Asked support a purity question and got the raw HPLC trace back within the hour. That transparency is why we reorder.”
